How we use data
- To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To respond to support requests and send service-related notices.

Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with subprocessors that help us run the Service (hosting, payments, email delivery), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, or when legally required.
Financial account connections (Plaid)
When you connect a financial account, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to securely link and retrieve data from your financial institution on your behalf. By using the connection flow you authorize Plaid and your financial institution to transfer data to us in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Plaid's handling of information transmitted through its services is governed by that policy. You may revoke access at any time from Account → Connections, after which we crypto-shred associated access credentials per our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
Data retention
We retain customer data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, data is removed from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@billslash.app.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. Report security issues to security@billslash.app.
International transfers
Data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own. We rely on appropriate legal mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be notified by email or in-app.
